[En] Borgman and Lenk have created the work ‚Stairs‘ for the exhibition „On the Spiritual in Art“ in the DG Gallery in Munich. A handrail without steps, which circumscribes the high gallery space as a red line. The handrail always occurs in everyday life as a functional pair with a staircase; in the artwork it dissolves physically, only the title reminds of it. By going through the exhibition, the observer, who in his mind adds the missing staircase, always discovers new views on the installation: The white walls become a canvas and the line of the handrail becomes a dynamic spatial graphic.
The installation is part of the exhibition „On the Spiritual in Art. 100 years after Kandinsky and Malewitsch“ in the DG Gallery in Munich and in the Museum of Concrete Art (MKK) in Ingolstadt.
